Standard surface
Standard surface is regular surface that can be created with simple function. It includes sphere surface, cylinder, cone, ring, elliptical surface and plane. Creating of them is comparatively simple, you need only input corresponding parameters and it will be created.
Free surface
Creating of the free surface is a little complex, you need to pick up several feature curves and execute corresponding orders to create it. It includes spin section, sweeping between two profiles and sweeping between two section curves.

Spin section

several rail sweep: to cover a smooth surface on several section curves of same direction.

sweeping
Curve sweeping:
Basic sweeping with two profiles: The geometry of the resulting section is determined by the direction of the single curve.
Sweeping between two section curves: Create one shape profile and two section curves. Both paths must have the same direction and it will generate a knotted curve.
Relief machining
1. preform
Cursory machining is to get rid off the unwanted material speedily and work out the rough module. Cursory machining pursues great cutting efficiency, at the same time, we should take material shape, object shape, material and your work condition into consideration. You can machine it layer by layer and UCanCAM supports technic of equal cutting.
2.Finish machining
The ultra size and surface of your work lies on the finish machining strategy. We should firstly guarantee the quality, at the same time, optimize the toolpath and overlap ratio.
3. projection
Place a toolpath on a surface, then typeart or mapping on it and generate the toolpath, it will keep the original height when projection.
4. Toolpath Simulation
Toolpath simulation is to preview cutting or engraving process in realistic render mode. Simulated results can be rotated, magnified, scaled and viewed from different angles. You can adjust your toolpath according to it.
