UcanNest2009 is mainly used in numerical control
cutting machine. Such as CNC flames cutting machine, CNC plasma
cutting machine, laser cutting machines and so on. The function
of this software includes drawing, editing of text and node,
auto nesting and interactive nesting, creation and simulation
of tool paths, etc. UcanNest2009 also provides convenient remaining
material management method and advanced cutting process method.
Like other software designed by Ucancam software Technology Co,Ltd., UcanNest2009
is easy to learn and use. For your convenience, it is also compatible
with CAD programs. So that UcanNest2009 does not require any
third party CAD packages however where drawing information already

1. Draw Editing
UcanNest2009 is compatible with CAD programs so that it does
not require any third party CAD packages.

2.Image Processing
Function in image processing includes Image tracing, Threshold,
Convert into grayscale image, Adjust brightness and Adjust contrast.
With the function of Image tracing, contour of the figure can
be extracted, and then you can edit the contour by node editing
to get the result you want. |

3.Duplication
It includes Array duplication¡¢Duplication along a line¡¢Duplication
along an Arc¡¢Duplication along a spiral curve. |

4.Text:Text input¡¢Text editing¡¢Charset
setting¡¢Text composition.
Font:Software provides you with various font
types .You also can install font which you need.
Text Editing:Character height and width¡¢Character
space¡¢Line space¡¢Align¡¢Vertical.
Text Composition:Text along a curve¡¢Text
in a closed shape¡¢Reverse¡¢Serial number text.
Text Property:Text property will not be changed
when you edit Character Height & Width. Text also can
be converted to curves.

5.Nesting
It includes Interactive Nesting and Auto Nesting. After nesting,
remain boundary can be generated automatically. Both Interactive
Nesting and Auto Nesting have warning function so that when
two objects are too near to each other, you will hear a warning
from your computer.
Auto Nesting
1)Parameters of Clearance, Precision, Iteration count, Direction----X
direction and Y direction, and From...(Left bottom ,Right
bottom, Left up, Right up) can be set.
2)Precise calculation, such as In hole nest. efficiency of
working and utilization rate of material can be improved
Interactive Nesting
1£©After set the parameters of Clearance, Precision, and Kerf
width, You can manually nest objects by Interactive Nesting.
2£©When two objects are too near to each other for machining,
you will hear a warning from your computer.
3£©The object can be moved arbitrarily, so that several objects
with various shapes and sizes can be arranged in a selected
shape to save material.
Remain material nesting¡¢Text nesting
With Interactive nesting or Auto nesting function, remain
material can be used for next nesting. After convert text
to curve, the text also can be Interactive nesting or Auto
nesting

6.Remain Material Management
Whether using remaining material is reasonable is related to
the utilization rate of material. Using remaining material unreasonably
can cause waste of material. Remain material management provide
us an easy way to recycle material and ensure the continuity
of the work.
Remain boundary
Remain boundary can be shown during Auto nesting and Interactive
Nesting, and the range of it will be changed when you move cursor.
Remain boundary separates parts and remain material, so that
tedious manual cutting is replaced. Remain boundary is good
for remain material management and remain material re-use.
Remain Figure
Remain figure can be added into remain library so that remain
figure can be found easily when you want to use it. Work efficiency
and material utilization rate are improved.
Remain library
After editing serial number, you can add remain figure into
remain library. UcanNest2009 provides Note function so that
you also can record the related information for remain figure,
such as material, area, thickness.
Preview figure: Open the file folder of remain
library and click file, you can preview this file in preview
window so that the file you need can be found quickly.
Remain Nesting
Remain material can be used for next nesting so that work efficiency
and material utilization rate are improved. |

7.Node
This is one of the particular function in UcanNest2009.It provides
the solution for cutting bevels and solution for entry and exit.
With node editing function, chamfer, fillet can be generated
accurately and extracted contour can be edited quickly.

The parameters of the length of entry and exit line and rounded
angle radius can be set accurately. Multi-node can be edited
once.
Node Editing
With node editing function, you can edit extracted counter of
figure accurately and arbitrarily, You also can change the shape
of entry and exit line and select random node as start point

8.Negative Bridge
Setting position and width of Negative Bridge arbitrarily.
Reduce the piercing of the holes in oxy flame cutting and consumed
electrical in plasma cutting for effective improvement of productivity
and expenses on consumable parts. |

9.Bridges
Bridge is to minimize the wear and tear on consumable items
in cutting process. The number of pierce hole can be reduced
by using bridge or negative bridge. The minimum bridge width
should be larger than kerf value. The length of entry and exit
line should be set respectively. |

10.Entry and Exit
UcanNest2009 provide many types of entry and exit. Entry position
and exit position can be selected arbitrarily

It can be straight line, Arc or others. Parameter of the length
of line, angle of line (0¡ª90) and radius of arc can be set accurately. |

11.Snap Function
Snap function is very helpful when we draw figure. It improved
the efficiency of drawing. This function also can be used for
accurately finding entry and exit position. The type of position
will be shown when cursor moved on it. |

12.Continuous Cutting
Enter the shortest distance between exit of last part and entry
of next part, distance of short cut value to facilitate the
possibility of continuous cutting. It can reduce the number
of pierce holes in oxy flame cutting and save nozzle for effective
improvement of productivity and expenses on consumable parts. |

13.Intelligent Function
When generate toolpath for a figure with both internal outline
and external outline. UcanNest2009 will calculate tool path
for internal outline and external outline respectively and add
entry line for them, internal outline is in inner so that you
need not define internal outline and external outline in person. |

14.Toolpath Edit
This function includes next path and automatic output. When
doing manual setting for cutting path, it is necessary to
pay attention on cut sequence, direction of travels and angle
of entry/exit for both the internal and external contours.
The advantage of next path is that you can add entry and exit
line arbitrarily and you can manual control the direction
and cutting sequence. You also can select relevant cutting
path for different parts. Automatic output is a high efficiency
method for toolpath editing, and the interface of it is easy
to understand.
Next Toolpath
The parameters of it includes Offset compensation (left, right,
none)and Processing speed. When doing manual setting for cutting
path, you can cancel the action and re-select direction of
travel, you also can change the direction of travel by change
the direction of arrow and broken line. So that under the
instruction of next toolpath, it is easier to generate the
toolpath for common cutting.
Automatic output
The parameters in this function include Cut direction, Offset,
Entry and Exit, etc. Offset includes On, Outside, Inside.

15.Toolpath Edit
We can edit generated toolpath. Such as ToolPath Sequence, ToolPath
Panel, Group Toolpath, Ungroup Toolpath.
ToolPath Sequence
Tool path sequence can be adjusted so as to improve machining
process and machining quality. The sequence number of toolpath
is shown at the beginning of start point for processing so that
the sequence number is easy to change.
Tool Path Panel
Tool path panel is used to separate a tool path into several
smaller portions so that you can machine materials accurately
even when the work area of your machine is not big enough. After
machining, you can combine the portions together to form a complete
one. In this way, not only machining time is reduced, but also
efficiency is improved.
Group Toolpath and Ungroup Toolpath.
You can group several toolpaths as one unit for machining. You
also can output several toolpaths respectively.

16.Tool Path Walk Simulation
Machining path can be previewed though tool path walk simulation,
thus avoiding machining error and reducing fault. Simulation
speed can be changed. |

17.Toolpath Output
Machine processing (cutting, pre-pierce, marker) cutting speed,
Fast speed, origin point, base on feature point.
Cutting---common machine processing.
Pre-pierce---we can utilize the used nozzles
to finish the holes first and then continue cutting with the
good nozzle, so that nozzle can be saved.
Marker---draw the outline of figure. It is
an inspection before processing.

18.Post Set
Software generates G code and M direction. According to need,
you can add different types of device. Set parameters for
Open fire ,Close fire.
Files of type can be *.nc¡¢*.txt or others.
You can check or un-check generated speed command. |

19.Symbol Library
About 10 thousand symbols are provided in UcanNest2009, including
trade marks, auto brands, animals and plants, furniture, human
figures, etc. Users also can create their own symbols and save
them to My Library. |
